In 2016, Ramsey County was able to start a mounted patrol program thanks to a generous donation from Midway Ford. You may have seen the horses (and officers) around at local fairs and festivals.

History of Outreach

Since our founding in 1954, Midway Ford has been a proud supporter of the community. Our founders, Harold and Marie Slawik had a long track record of charitable giving - so much so that in 1966 she received thanks from President Lyndon B. Johnson, Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey, as well as Senator Eugene McCarthy. Today their grandson, John Tichenor, continues their tradition of generosity.
